John D. Hadden is a founding partner of Turkheimer and Hadden, LLC.
Before founding the firm, John was a litigator at a prominent and respected commercial litigation and insurance defense firm, where he represented numerous commercial and business interests and defended hundreds of clients in personal injury, wrongful death, and property damage claims. He now concentrates his practice on commercial and business disputes, catastrophic personal injury and wrongful death claims, property disputes, and short and long term disability insurance issues. Although he practices in Atlanta, Georgia, he represents clients in litigation and trial matters throughout the state of Georgia in both state and federal courts. John has been recognized in the Georgia SuperLawyers publication as a Rising Star.
John graduated with honors from the University of Georgia School of Law, where he was a member of the Managing and Editorial Boards of the Georgia Law Review. While in law school, John served as a student clerk for the judges of the State Court of Cherokee County, and worked in the Office of the District Attorney for Rockdale County, prosecuting felony and misdemeanor criminal cases. John earned his bachelor's degree from Emory University, where he majored in History and Environmental Studies and was philanthropy chairman of Emory's Interfraternity Counsel. He was intern to Georgia Governor Roy Barnes during his senior year in college.
John is a member of the American Bar Association, Atlanta Bar Association, Lawyer-Pilots Bar Association, and the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association, where he is a member of the Amicus Committee, assisting attorneys from around the state in matters before appellate courts, and is membership chair for the GTLA's New Lawyers Division. He also serves on the Board of Governors of the American Association for Justice (formerly Association of Trial Lawyers of America) New Lawyers Division as well as the AAJ's Amicus Committee, and is a Barrister with the Logan E. Bleckley American Inn of Court. John is also co-chair of the Litigation Committee of the Young Lawyers Division of the State Bar of Georgia.
In his free time, John is an avid private pilot and SCUBA diver. John volunteers his time with the Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers Foundation, providing legal assistance to Atlanta's poor and underprivileged citizens. He also frequently serves as a volunteer judge for mock trial competitions at the high school and law school level, and serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the Georgia Network to End Sexual Assault (GNESA).
John is admitted to practice in all Georgia trial courts, as well as the Georgia Court of Appeals and the Georgia Supreme Court. He is also admitted to the United States District Courts for the Northern and Middle Districts of Georgia (including bankruptcy courts), the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court.
